Street Safe London is an initiave run by volunteers and led by Julian King an experienced former police detective with over 40 years of experience . 

In common with major cities in Europe, tourists are considered easy prey and are targeted by pickpockets, phone thieves and scammers.

We aim to raise awareness and deter opportunistic ctrime utilising volunteers in high visibility clothing to help deter crime and provide  a friendly face, signpost and help victims with reporting crime.

Whilst the police and the local authorities do what they can with limited resources and increasing demands upon them,  it is important for the community to provide support in areas which may not be a priority for the police or local authorities but can have a profound impact on victims of what may be seen as petty crime.
